Day 4 of the Dragon World Championship by Tivoli Hotels & Resorts delivered picture-perfect "Champagne sailing" conditions, thrilling spectators and teams alike just 3 nautical miles off the coast of Vilamoura.

The fleet completed two spectacular races under changing wind conditions. The first race started with a breeze from 240 degrees at 10 knots. By the second race, the wind had shifted to 265 degrees and picked up significantly, reaching 19-20 knots during the final loop — challenging the sailors' skills and strategy.

These dynamic conditions led to a shake-up in the overall standings. The Portuguese team SATURN, helmed by Pedro Rebelo de Andrade, climbed impressively into second place, showing great consistency and tactical strength.

Meanwhile, PROVEZZA DRAGON, led by Andy Beadsworth, held on to the top spot, maintaining their strong performance throughout the event. In third place, LOUISE RACING — with Grant Gordon at the helm — is now tied on points with SATURN, making the final two days of racing anything but predictable.

With just two racing days left, the fight for the Open title remains wide open, promising more intense competition and potential surprises ahead.

Open Top 3 after Day 4:

1. PROVEZZA DRAGON (TUR 12) - Andy Beadsworth, Simon Fry, Enes Caylak
2. SATURN (POR 89) - Pedro Rebelo de Andrade, José Leitmann, Charles Nankin
3. LOUISE RACING (GBR 833) - Grant Gordon, Anton Dahlberg, Chris Grube, Faye Chatterton

Tomorrow's schedule: Two races are planned, with the first warning signal at 13:00.

To conclude an intense day on the water, sailors and guests will gather for the Official Championship Dinner, taking place tomorrow evening at Lakeside Tivoli. This exclusive event promises an elegant setting and a moment to celebrate the spirit of international sailing.
