Our video archive is fully searchable, and updated weekly with the latest sailing videos - fresh and new every day - but in this article we look the other way: back at early sailing in the Cherub class. We have footage from the the Sixties to the Nineties for you to enjoy.
Our oldest video featuring a Cherub is from Cowes Week 1964 and is only brief. Skip to 6m33s if you're in a hurry.
This next video shows King Charles III at age 15, and several dinghy classes, but skip to 2m40s for the Cherub: Cowes Week 1967.
Another brief view here, if you want to see every possible moment of the class on video, is at the start of 1968 Earls Court boat show.
Now for the quality stuff! Cherub class in the 1980s (part 1) is below, and you can click for part 2.
The class thrives on the other side of the planet too, as you can see with 1991 Cherub World Titles which was at Tamaki Yacht Club, New Zealand.
Staying down under, here's the Cherub World Championships at Botany Bay (Dec 95 - Jan 96) and here we end our list. That is all we found!
What of the rest?
Do you know the location of any other old Cherub videos? We would love to share these with sailors worldwide. You can submit video links for immediate review.
