You might think that there's nothing more to learn about Optimist sailing—that you've heard it all.

But all of those years of absorbing valuable lessons through anecdotes and experience on the water are about to be put under the microscope—because data harvesting tools used at Olympic level are only just reaching the Class now. We met up with two Junior National Champions - Charlie Holland and Finn Ramus - to zoom in on their sprit load data and see what we could learn:
