5o5 class set for the first regatta of the European 2025 Season in Saint Raphael, France

The International 5o5 Association is thrilled to announce the commencement of the European 2025 sailing season with the first regatta taking place at the Club Nautique Saint Raphael, France, from April 18th to 20th, 2025.

This event marks the beginning of an exciting series of international sailing competitions and Open National Championships throughout Europe that will bring together the best sailors from around the world.

Following the Saint Raphael regatta which is the first of the annual Euro Cup circuit, the 2025 season will include the 5o5 European Championship in L'Estartit Spain. This will be the first time the International 5o5 Association has had a major regatta in Spain and is expected to attract around 100 entries including boats from the USA and Australia.

The full 2025 European fixtures are:

  • Euro Cup Leg 2: Riva del Garda, Italy, May 29th to 31st, 2025
  • Euro Cup Leg 3: Warnemunde, Germany, July 5th to 7th, 2025
  • Euro Cup Leg 4 (and Swedish Championship): Raa, Sweden, August 8th to 10th, 2025
  • European Championship: L'Estartit, Spain, October 22nd to 25th, 2025

Named after the late Sir Jim Hardy, the event gets underway in light and variable winds Day 1 of the pre-worlds, named in honour of the former great of the class and Australian Sailing, Sir James Hardy, commenced today in variable winds.
