Racing at RS Fest Miami kicks off in the morning, with festivities already in full swing at Coconut Grove Sailing Club. Sailors have been taking part in the pre-regatta clinics, gaining class-specific tips and polishing up their boat handling skills in preparation for racing to start tomorrow.

Sailors across North America and Europe have travelled to Miami to relish a long weekend of sailing, with the RS Tera, RS Feva, RS Aero and RS21 fleets racing. It really does showcase the diversity within RS Sailing's classes and the thriving RS community as they celebrate on shore.

Michiel Geerling, RS Sailing Commercial Director, commented, "I'm super excited to be heading to Miami for the 2nd edition of RS Fest Miami! Everything we stand for as a brand will be coming together over the three day event, from sharing our sailing knowledge, close racing and great socials. Leading up to the event, it's been amazing working with Zim Sailing, Central Coast Sailing and West Coast Sailing and our fantastic event partners. Coconut Grove Sailing Club will be as great as ever, hosting the RS Family from close and far".

Coconut Grove Sailing Club are proud hosts of RS Fest Miami for a second year running. Established in 1946 and a proud supporter of youth sailing, Coconut Grove has a wealth of experience hosting vibrant regattas, with RS Fest Miami being no different.

Known for its champagne sailing, Biscayne Bay is as glamorous in the spring as its Miami venue. A lack of fronts coming through creates stable and consistent conditions for sailors to enjoy. With wall-to-wall sunshine in the forecast, medium breeze and gentle chop. Conditions suit first-timers with enough nuances going on with the current to keep the most seasoned sailors on their toes at the front of the fleet.

Sailors have three days of racing ahead of them. It looks to be tight at the top, and consistent results will be the name of the game as this regatta commences. In true RS Sailing style, the socials onshore promise to be just as fun as the racing on the water. From Opening Ceremonies, baseball games, and live bands, RS sailors can expect to make memories and friends for life.

Events like these are not possible without our amazing event partners, we're so grateful to have the following sponsors supporting the event; Kingfisher Yacht Ropes, Rooster, North Sails, Athletic Brewing Co, Zim Sailing and West Coast Sailing.

With over 30 years of experience, DSM's Kingfisher Yacht Ropes supplies high-performance sailing ropes and equipment. Kingfisher Yacht Ropes' Group Partner, Nigel Saddington commented, "RS Fest Miami is an exciting event for Kingfisher Yacht Ropes to partner with; we are delighted to be in Miami to provide expert advice during the event". The Kingfisher Yacht Ropes team will be on hand at the event to share advice and bimbles around their impressive product range, and they have sponsored a fantastic array of prizes and giveaways in support of the event.

Well-versed in partnering with RS Sailing events and with over 25 years in the industry, Rooster started with a simple mission: to make high-quality, affordable watersports gear accessible to everyone. Luke Morrision, Rooster CEO commented, "We're absolutely delighted to support RS Fest! Rooster and RS have a long-standing relationship built on a shared passion for sailing and creating unforgettable events. It's all about bringing sailors together, having fun on the water, and celebrating the sport we love!".

Stay tuned to RS Sailing's social media channels over the long weekend to keep up with all the action on the water and on shore.
