The Tre Golfi Sailing Week 2025 is fast approaching, and with it, the closing of registrations. The Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia, with Rolex as Official Timepiece, is pleased to announce that 100 boats have already registered for the Tre Golfi Sailing Week.

The Marina of Sorrento is already fully booked for the IMA Maxi European Championship, while spots are still available for the ORC Mediterranean Championship, also valid as the Lower Tyrrhenian National Championship.

Teams still undecided have a little more time to finalize their entry in the ORC Mediterranean Championship (May 7-10), the 70th Tre Golfi Regatta (May 16), or the IMA Maxi European Championship (May 16-22). This year, both the ORC and Maxi events will once again be based in Sorrento, with its historic marina fully equipped to accommodate all registered yachts.

The first international event on the 2025 ORC calendar will be the Mediterranean Championship, taking place in Sorrento from May 7-10 with windward-leeward races, followed by the 70th Tre Golfi Regatta, which will start from Naples on May 16. The event is organized in collaboration with the Yacht Club Italiano of Genoa, with the crucial support of the Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia of Naples, ORC, and UVAI, along with partners Loro Piana, North Sails, Banca Patrimoni Sella, Ferrarelle Ottogas, and Deloitte.

The ORC races will also be valid for the Middle and Lower Tyrrhenian National Championship, which will select the top boats for the Italian Offshore Championship, scheduled for late June in Capo d'Orlando.

Nearly 30 boats from France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Great Britain have already registered, with many more expected for three days of competitive racing in the stunning waters of the Sorrento Peninsula. Among the confirmed entries is the Ker46 Lisa R, winner of the 69th Tre Golfi Regatta in 2024, which will be back on the starting line. Also competing will be the brand-new Wallyrocket Team Django, owned by Giovanni Lombardi Stronati, featuring the renowned tactician Vasco Vascotto, as well as the Farr40 Mascalzone Latino of Vincenzo Onorato.

In 2025, the ORC Mediterranean Championship will once again follow the four-class system approved by ORC:

  • Class 0: 16.400 = CDL > 13.550
  • Class A: 13.550 = CDL > 11.270
  • Class B: 11.270 = CDL > 9.630
  • Class C: 9.630 = CDL > 8.000

The ORC Mediterranean Champion title will be awarded to the boat with the best score relative to the number of competitors in its class, a formula that has proven effective in previous editions, especially considering the offshore challenge of the Tre Golfi Regatta.

The Middle and Lower Tyrrhenian National Championship titles will be awarded to the winners of each class, who will also receive financial support from FIV to participate in the Italian Absolute Championship.

"We are thrilled to host the ORC Mediterranean Championship and the Area National Championship once again," said Maurizio Pavesi, Vice President of Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia. "The races between Sorrento and Capri always present a high-level technical challenge, and for crews participating this year, it will also be a great opportunity to familiarize themselves with the racecourse for the 2026 World Championship, recently awarded by ORC to CRV Italia."

Further details and registration information are available on the official website.
