HELM celebrates first 10 years

by HELM 27 Mar 17:37 AEDT

British charter broker HELM are celebrating 10 years of tailored yachting holidays.

March 2025 marks 10 years since Peter Harrison-Hill and Simon Morgan launched HELM, the bespoke yacht charter brokerage. They offer bareboat, skippered, and crewed yachts for hire globally, with specialist areas including Croatia, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Thailand, and the Caribbean.

The founders are reflecting on a decade of success that has seen them go from two mates working in Simon's kitchen to record turnovers, 35% annual growth and a central London office, employing 23 full-time staff.

Their new website, launched in January, aims to give HELM customers an even more seamless journey, before, during and after their holiday.

Humble beginnings & a simple goal

Aged just 25 and 28, Morgan and Harrison-Hill set up www.helm.yt in March 2015, with the simple goal of delivering exceptional holidays on the water.

Prioritising a seamless customer experience, they chose to only work with the best quality yachts, and foster personal relationships with suppliers and customers, to reinforce trust at all points.

Relentless customer focus

"It's a real privilege to have so many repeat clients. Some have even booked over 20 charters with us" says Harrison-Hill.

"We remain incredibly grateful to every single person who has trusted their holidays to HELM over the last decade" adds Morgan, "and we look forward to welcoming many more clients onboard their ideal yacht in the years to come.

HELM's knowledge-driven approach has been core to their identity and success, says Morgan:

"From day one, we've put a high value on acquiring and sharing yacht and destination knowledge - our brokers travel the globe, visiting every yacht show and getting to know the crews.

This means they know the best yacht options to recommend for different needs, and more importantly which to avoid. It's not just about providing yachts; it's about crafting remarkable adventures.

We have very exciting growth plans, including launching an office in Australia, and the future is looking very promising for our business. Peter and I couldn't be prouder of the team we've built, and all they've achieved over the past decade.

The first ten years of HELM have flown by - here's to the next 40!".
