The arrival of Horizon RP122 Miss Michelle

by Horizon Yachts 13 Feb 09:00 PST

The brand new RP122 Hull 9 has arrived in the U.S. and was delivered to her owners. With style and ready to embark on countless adventures at sea, this breathtaking yacht is designed for luxurious cruising and adventure. Christened Miss Michelle by her owner, RP122 Hull 9 marks the latest addition to Horizon Yachts' Raised Pilothouse (RP) Series renowned for unparalleled customized luxury living and comfortable cruising.

"This RP122 is verified to meet the Hull & Stability standards of Bureau Veritas and builds on the success of its predecessors," said Roger Sowerbutts, Director at Horizon Yacht USA. "She carries design elements from our award-winning FD (Fast Displacement) Series, including a High-Performance Piercing Bow that makes for a smooth and efficient ride. Add to that a spacious layout and a thoughtfully conceived fold-out platform in the beach club, and you have a very compelling package."

Luxurious Living Spaces

First impressions are undeniably striking. Sleek lines and contemporary styling evoke a sense of refinement. Boasting a breathtakingly spacious layout, Miss Michelle is meticulously crafted to accommodate both grand entertaining and intimate gatherings. Stepping aboard, the aft deck features a U-shaped sofa complemented by a teak coffee table with a beautiful high-gloss starburst design and, at the owner's request, a Hi/Lo coffee machine conveniently stowed away to starboard. A 43" fold-up LED TV and a subwoofer provide an inviting backdrop and soundscape perfect for social gatherings.

Transitioning to the main salon, guests are greeted by a sumptuous, L-shaped sofa in a serene and refreshing environment, courtesy of the pure, white base tone, paired with rich accents of ebony and walnut. This refined palette establishes an understated yet elegant setting, which is reflected in the carefully selected Thassos-white marble flooring, unique rugs, and the "MM" initials in the welcome Angora, pearl marble slab. Miss Michelle features a fully custom Lutron lighting system. Overhead, the ceiling RGB lighting adds a dynamic and customizable atrium-like ambiance to the space. Other amenities that complement the visual appeal of the salon are easily within reach, including the owner-specified, state-of-the-art entertainment system beneath the 75" fold-up TV to starboard, along with a wet bar neatly concealed.

Onboard dining is an experience in itself. The custom formal dining table was designed with seating for 10 guests and can conveniently be separated from the main lounge by an electric partition. The table, comprised mainly of walnut and accented with sycamore, maple, and ebony, is bookended by two armchairs tailored for the owners that add personalized quality to the dining experience. Overhead lighting comes in the form of a carved-glass light shade with a stainless-steel frame finished in brushed carbon. A large 85" Frame TV is mounted on the wall between the dining room and the galley, infusing the space with dynamic artistic décor. Configured to the owner's preferences, the galley makes use of Cambria stone to add a bright touch to the space while offering ample storage and functionality that caters for culinary creativity.

The main deck foyer is separated by an electric pocket door from the dining area and is a quaint enclave, complete with a wardrobe, and serves as a brief interlude before transitioning to the other decks via the stairwells.

Majestic Suites

Miss Michelle features a full-beam, on-deck master stateroom. A king-sized bed occupies this space with a headboard framed in Corian White Onyx stone, walk-in closets, a vanity, and a mosaic-themed his-and-hers ensuite with dual vanity sinks. A raised ceiling design with a mirror on the upper frame further enhances the sense of expansiveness. For added convenience, concealed wireless charging stations in the nightstands and the vanity table, as well as a Hi/Lo coffee machine, complete this opulent retreat.

Below deck, sleeping accommodations are laid out in three ensuite guest rooms, highlighted by a standout full-beam forward VIP with a king-sized berth, a walk-in closet, and a double vanity sink for ultimate comfort. Each stateroom is decorated with its own mosaic colored scheme, accompanied by elegant walnut accents for added warmth. Partitioned forward of the guest accommodations are three, well-appointed ensuite crew cabins for up to six crew members, comprising a double Captain's cabin, two sets of bunk cabins, and the crew mess.

Entertainment, of Cinematic Proportion

The raised pilothouse, situated on the bridge deck just forward of the flybridge, features a complete, state-of-the-art console with an owner-specified Furuno navigation system, a custom Stidd helm chair, and a slightly elevated nook with an L-shaped sofa and table.

The flybridge offers the ultimate vantage point to take in panoramic views of the sea. Forward and offset to starboard is a second helm station with seating for two. Behind it, a large TV and six barstools surrounding an L-shaped bar counter, the front of which is styled with a mosaic aquatic-inspired pattern, exude a seaside sports bar feel. Portside, an expansive L-shaped sofa accompanied by two, dual-functional ottoman tables set the tone for relaxing get-togethers.

One of Miss Michelle's novel features is a multipurpose dining and entertainment area on the flybridge aft, where an adaptable layout allows for seamless transitions between meals and movie nights. Eight movable chairs around the Hi/Lo dining table can be easily rearranged to face aft towards a large projector screen, creating the ambiance of an intimate outdoor theater.

The foredeck features an incredible outdoor entertaining space, sporting plush seating, an enlarged hot tub, and a cozy U-shaped settee with a Hi/Lo table, offering an idyllic setting for unwinding and enjoying alfresco dining.

A Beach Club at the Water's Edge

Aft of the engine room, which houses twin CAT C32B 2,400hp engines and twin Northern Lights 65kW generators, the beach club is a versatile space featuring a central coffee table, a sofa bed, two movable chairs, and a 43" Hi/Lo TV discreetly integrated with a cabinet. As a plus, this area has been creatively designed to be used as an additional stateroom complimented by a full head with integrated overhead shower. The crowning attraction is the fold-out platform that extends to port, transforming the space into a tranquil oasis with unobstructed access to the sea—perfect for sunbathing or quiet reflection on the two movable chairs which can be specifically positioned to fully take advantage of this unique and amazing space. When raised, a window on the platform provides the interior with natural light. An outdoor shower is attached to the garage door, which, when opened, further amplifies the sense of openness in the beach club. Garage space is plentiful, with ample room for a Williams tender stowage.

The Horizon Yacht USA team was on hand to celebrate Miss Michelle's christening. The owners were presented with a custom champagne bucket along with a gift basket and numerous Horizon-branded items and apparel.

Reflecting Horizon's commitment to design excellence and bespoke craftsmanship, Miss Michelle is the quintessential expression of the superyacht experience at its best. For more information on this and other Horizon builds, please contact Horizon Yacht USA at +1 561-721-4850 or email .
