Alia Yachts new 53m full custom aluminium superyacht Kaiyo delivered

by Alia Yachts 8 Feb 00:36 PST

Alia Yachts is celebrating the completion of another exceptional custom yacht in the form of the 53m Project Sea Club, now called Kaiyo.

  • Alia's fully custom 53m aluminium superyacht recently delivered
  • Extensive guest cabins and social space
  • Unmatched toy carrying potential, including helicopter and submersible
  • Design from Azure Yacht Design and Diana Yacht Design

The owner took delivery of the finished boat in January after a demanding construction process that was only possible thanks to exemplary teamwork from designers, suppliers, owner's rep and, of course, from Alia Yachts itself.

Kaiyo is totally unique in the truest sense, with every detail developed specifically for a new breed of yacht. The concept born as a support vessel quickly evolved into a utilitarian steel and aluminium project capable of carrying a treasure-chest of toys but also boasting superyacht standard guest accommodation and seductive open deck space. It also had to be efficient to operate, with a fast, sea-kindly hull and a truly oceanic range for off-the-grid exploration and fun.

Next-level guest accommodation

To achieve this complex balancing act meant making Kaiyo far more than just a voluminous custom support vessel. It required a robust vessel built to exacting superyacht standards that was able to fulfil the role of entertaining and accommodating guests in multiple social spaces.

To that end, she has two guest cabins and a larger master suite that can sleep up to six guests altogether. Then there's the comfortable, stylish saloon, a stunning aft deck lounging and dining area and a supercool sundeck with a bar and loungers - not to mention the huge beach club just above the water.

But the ace up the sleeve of this design, which comes from the pen of Azure Design & Naval Architecture, is the unique raised aft deck, which doubles as a fully certified helicopter deck for an Airbus H145 and as a huge entertainment space. Not only can it bunker and secure the chopper, but with the aircraft away, it serves for large gatherings, extended lounging and even as a dancefloor. What is more, the flush lighting means that the deck can be converted for use as a volleyball or basketball court with a net wall around the outside.

"Alia Yachts couldn't be more proud of Kaiyo," said Alia President, Gökhan Çelik "She is an exceptional yacht that marries utility and luxury in a new way that doesn't compromise either. On the one hand, the boat offers superyacht accommodation for six and epic entertaining space - on the other, there is unparalleled toy storage space, including a helicopter and a Triton submersible. Kaiyo is the ultimate showcase for Alia's skills and a new breath to the ever growing demand for utilitarian vessels"

Toy carrier par excellence

Kaiyo's full complement of toys makes for an eyewatering list. Besides the Airbus helicopter and Triton 660/7 submersible, there is a 13m custom guest launch (also built by Alia), an 8.2m custom Cockwells beach lander and a 6.1m Ski Nautique waterskiing boat. Sailing boats are not neglected, either, with two RS Teras and two RS Cat 14s stored aboard.

There is still plenty of room for smaller toys, too, including two 230hp Sea-Doo WakePros, two Yamaha Superjets and two Seabobs. There are foiling flightboards and jet boards, stand-up paddle boards, pedal boards, tandem kayaks and a host of boards and skis for towing. All that in addition to a dive shop, an enormous inflatable beach park and a survivor obstacle course.

"A yacht of this pedigree is not destined to spend much of its life in harbour," added Çelik. "True to her calling, Kaiyo has already planed the long crossing to the Caribbean en route to the United States - simple enough with her 4,100 nautical mile range and 15 knot speed. The owner has extensive plans to use the boat's extensive technical capabilities as well as her capacity to entertain hundreds of guests in style."
