The time in Santa Marta seemed to fly by, many happy memories were made and everyone had a great time.

Yesterday the prize-giving ceremony for the first leg of the World ARC 2025 took place in the restaurant of the Marriott Hotel in Santa Marta.

After recognising the biggest winner of our fleet - the kids, and everyone singing "Happy Birthday" to Guss, the winners of the first leg were announced.

In Class A, third place went to Kinscem, an Amel 55. Genestho, a Swan 56 from Germany, secured second place, while Adam Spiegel and his crew on Saltair took a well deserved first place.

The competition continued in Class B. Here Mageia, a Hanse 460, took third place after an admirable effort as one of our double handed boats. She was followed by Chillalot, sailed by Kevin and Geerte, supported by their two children, Joep and Guus, who turned 11 during the race!

First place was taken home by another doublehanded yacht: Bluewater Mooney! Wilhelm and Nicole arrived in Santa Marta with a corrected time of only 04 days 11 hours 58 minutes and 14 seconds.

In the multihull division, Pure Joy, a Seawind 1600, finished third. They were followed by Mulan, an Excess 14 Pulse Line, in second place.

Water Sprite - Peter, Elizabeth, Michael and David sailed their Leopard 48 to Santa Marta and into first place.

A huge thank you to the team at IGY Marina Santa Marta for hosting this memorable evening and welcoming us to Colombia.
