The UK Europe Class Association is pleased to announce its 2025 racing calendar, packed with exciting events across some of the UK's premier sailing venues.

The Europe class continues to develop in the UK, with a fast-moving second-hand market complemented by the availability of new boats from Synergy Marine and Winner (imported by Rooster) fueling the resurgence over the past eight years. Whether you're rediscovering the joys of the class or a newcomer intrigued by its unique appeal, the Europe class offers something for everyone.

The Europe is celebrated for its versatility, accommodating sailors of all ages, weights, and genders. Its technical rig and responsive controls deliver an unparalleled sailing experience, and provide a level playing field for a diverse range of sailors in all conditions. The class thrives on its inclusivity and community spirit, with experienced sailors always ready to welcome newcomers. It never takes long before a question posted to the UK Europe Sailors Facebook group is inundated with helpful advice from our friendly community of past and present sailors!

For the 2025 season, the UK Europe Class Association committee have been working hard to secure a fantastic calendar. Racing at world-class venues throughout the year, ranging from challenging coastal waters to scenic inland lakes, the programme aims to offer a broad range of racing opportunities.

22nd - 23rd February - Farnborough International
This year the class is excited to be attending the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show with a bigger presence than ever before... stay tuned for more information as the show approaches!

5th - 6th April - Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy
WPNSA will welcome the fleet for the Start of Seasons - a familiar venue for the class having hosted several National Championships. Racing alongside the Cadet class, we look forward to showcasing the Europe to the next generation of sailors!

27th April - Chichester YC
Chichester Yacht Club hosts its annual one-day event, with potential for a training day on the Saturday - an ideal way to hone your skills in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere

17th - 18th May - Hayling Island SC
Hayling Island SC brings together the Europe, Finn, and Solo classes for a weekend of racing with the strong home fleet, a great opportunity to understand the venue for this year's IECU Masters & Youth European Championships.

30th May - 1st June - Stokes Bay SC
This year's UK Europe National Championship will be contested on The Solent, hosted by Stokes Bay SC, attracting top sailors from across the UK with a wide range of trophies on offer throughout the fleet!

27th - 28th September - Northampton SC
Having last raced on Pitsford Water in 2016, the class returns to Northampton SC for the UK Europe Inland Championships, hoping for some great late-summer conditions alongside the Lark class.

18th - 19th October - Staunton Harold SC
Having hosted the class for the past few years, Staunton Harold SC closes the calendar with a final weekend of fun racing and camaraderie which has become synonymous with the venue!

Scores for the 2025 circuit will be used to award the 2025 UK Europe 'Travellers Trophy', a perpetual trophy which has not been awarded for several years, as well as ranking sailors in the National Ranking series - the qualification process to represent Great Britain for the 2026 Europe World Championships!

In 2025 the class is looking forward to hosting an international event in UK waters for the first time in two decades - a true reflection of the success of the Europe class in the UK! From the 1st-7th July, Hayling Island SC will host the IECU Masters & Youth European Championships and Young Adults Cup. We look forward to welcoming our international friends to HISC, and hope to see lots of British sailors getting involved in anticipation of this milestone event!

If you're curious about the Europe class or looking to join the fleet, visit the UK Europe Class Association stand at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show.
