Sail Canada 2025 Sail Central Championships to be held at Hudson Yacht Club in Hudson, QC

by Sail Canada 20 Jan 09:13 PST 17-20 July 2025

Sail Canada announced today that its 2025 Sail Central regional championships will be held July 17-20 at the Hudson Yacht Club in Hudson, QC.

The event, to be hosted during Hudson Yacht Club Fruitbowl Regatta, will feature two training days, Thursday and Friday, ahead of the competition scheduled for Saturday, July 19th, and Sunday, July 20th.

Sail Canada Sail Central Championships is aimed for sailors from Ontario and Quebec, yet athletes from other provinces are welcome. Last year, close to 200 sailors took part in the event held at the Ashbridge's Bay Yacht Club in Toronto.

The notice of race as well as registration link for Sail Canada 2025 Sail Central Championships will be available in the upcoming months.

Sail Canada's three regional championships provide an opportunity for sailors to train and compete with high-level sailors in their region for the Optimist (U15), ILCA 4, ILCA 6, Club 420 and 29er classes. In addition, this event serves as talent identification opportunities for regional and provincial sailing teams, along with training, development and mentoring opportunities for coaches, officials and volunteers.

Sail Canada 2025 Sail Central Championships will be part of a total of seven Sail Canada Regional and National Annual Championships in 2025. The calendar will also include Sail Canada Sail East and Sail West Regional Championships, as well as the Youth, Senior Kiteboarding, Senior ILCA 6 and ILCA 7, as well as Senior 49er and 49erFX Championships.

Helly Hansen is the proud prize sponsor for the 2025 Sail Canada Championships. Sail Canada Championships are funded - in part - by the Government of Canada.
