After a stellar year in 2024 for the RS600 class, 2025 is looking to be more of the same but with a few changes to make it even better. After a busy calendar last year, we wanted to make a few tweaks to make this year more accommodating for those with already busy calendars.

The main change is that events are now spaced out to roughly one a month from March to November, making a total of 7 events over 9 months for 2025.

Even if you haven't got a boat, there's still time to join the class with a number available on Facebook Marketplace for under £2000. If you're on the fence about it, check out this video which shows you what it's all about!

Now what is in store for 2025? The season kicks off with two days of racing at Bough Beech on the 8/9th March. Previously, Bough Beech has been used for class training but with a strong local fleet, we've changed the format this year to a two-day open meeting.

Following that, we head west to Oxford Sailing Club on the 5/6th April. After last year's event being hit with one of the big storms, we're excited to return with a number of boats in the local area. One for the west based boats to put in the calendar.

After that, we head back to Grafham for the Inlands on the 17/18th May, a class favourite with a local fleet. Grafham has lots to offer with large courses, easy launching with multiple slipways, camping on site and 5 minutes from the A1 makes it an all round good event. There will be a fleet meal organised at the club's fantastic catering on the Saturday night too.

Heading into June, we head to a new location on the south coast at Warsash Sailing Club on the 21st/22nd June. Another south coast event was a big request from last year after the success of the RS 30th Regatta at Hayling Island Sailing Club.

After a gap in July, we head to Stone on the August bank holiday weekend (23-25th August) for a 3 day bank holiday regatta with 2 races each day. With a bunch of boats around the east coast, this is set to be a popular one. Stone also has great facilities with camping on site and dinner available at the club too.

In September, we head as far west as we can for our National Championship sponsored by Noble Marine at Mounts Bay Sailing Club with the RS100s and RS500s. After seeing the RS200s and 400s go in 2023 and 2024, it's definitely not one to miss. With the magnificent backdrop of St Michael's Mount, legendary waves and plenty of accommodation, it's set to be one to remember.

To wrap things up in style, we're returning to Rutland for the End of Seasons with all the other RS classes for one last blast. Similar to Grafham, Rutland offers easy launching and good facilities to make the final event one to remember.

With all the dates set for the 2025 Rooster National Tour, get them in your calendar and we look forward to seeing you there!
