Sea Ray is set to debut its first European built surf boat at the 56th boot Düsseldorf international boat show, 18-26 January 2025. At the show, Sea Ray will celebrate the European premiere of the SDX 270 Surf, and the launch of European production of the boat.

"We are excited to introduce the SDX 270 Surf to the European market," expressed Keith Yunger, President of Sea Ray. "Our redesigned SDX line bridges the gap across generations bringing families together to enjoy a day on the water. The popularity of wake surfing continues to grow, and we are pleased to use the spotlight of Dusseldorf to highlight our entrance into surf boat production in Europe, and to showcase our exceptional 2025 Sea Ray line up."

The SDX series is Sea Ray's latest model lineup to receive a keel-up redesign, and the SDX 270 Surf was the first SDX model crafted with the brand's next-generation design language. The model was first introduced in the U.S. in 2024 and has been recognized as a Top Product by Boating Industry magazine.

Enticing thrill seekers, the SDX 270 Surf is outfitted with Sea Ray's intuitive NextWave™ surf system that generates repeatable, rideable waves for wakesurfing and other watersports. The vessel's transom is tapered to produce a clean wave while electric surf tabs, Active Trim and three ballast tanks featuring 1,900 lbs. of ballast control the height of the wave and produce a long or short pocket. The boat is also equipped with a Sea Ray custom surf interface powered by Mercury Smart Tow® featuring three pre-set modes for surfing, wakeboarding and skiing/tubing, or boaters can use the visual display to adjust the settings with the touch of a button to accommodate riders of all skill levels. The SDX 270 Surf features an optimized layout with built-in storage and coolers, convertible seating and premium amenities. The addition of a bow thruster further assists in maneuverability and smooth and effortless docking.

Also on display in the Sea Ray booth will be the acclaimed Sundancer line. Sea Ray will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Sundancer series in 2025, signifying a remarkable achievement in Sea Ray's rich history. For five decades, the Sundancer has set the tone for cabin cruisers in the boating industry. Three Sundancer models will be on display along with models from across Sea Ray's lineup:

  • Sundancer 320
  • Sundancer 265
