Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron is set to host the much-anticipated 2024 Petersville Regatta from 27 - 30 December, kicking off summer with one of the standout events on the Peninsula.

Known for drawing sailors from across the region, the regatta is expected to welcome over 450 competitors this year.

Entries for this iconic event are now open and filling fast, as competitors competing in the 'Cock of the Bay' yacht race make their way to Blairgowrie for the perfect continuation of their summer racing.

Regular participant and Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron member Greg Lewis highlighted the practicality of this dual event lineup:

"Starting in Willy (Williamstown) and heading down the day before, it's a great way to bring boats from Melbourne down to the southern end of the bay," said Lewis.

With marina berths accommodating a wide variety of vessels, daily live entertainment on the Clubhouse deck and its signature welcoming hospitality, Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron is ready to welcome a big fleet. The regatta will feature four exciting days of competition, including passage races, short-course racing, and twilight racing, ensuring there's something for every sailor. Blairgowrie's flat-water sailing conditions are a favourite among keelboat enthusiasts and a key draw for the event.

Entries close soon, so don't miss your chance to be part of this premier event. Submit your entry by 5:00 PM on Friday 6 December 2024.
