Sébastien Simon has set a new record solo monohull 24 hour record, covering a staggering 602.56 nautical miles (that's 1116 kilometres), averaging 25.11 knots.
The Groupe Dubreuil skipper has added 22.7nm to the mark set by Yoann Richomme two days ago.
Will Dalin break away from the pack?
We're reaching a critical point in the Vendée Globe. With the fleet now spread out across the South Atlantic Ocean, Charlie Dalin could ride the wave of the low pressure system towards the Ice Boundary south of the Cape of Good Hope.
If his pursuers can't follow the same option, and fall off the wave, he has the potential to open up a massive lead over the pack.
Plus we have an update this morning from Boris Herrmann on Malizia-Seaexplorer.
