French J/70 Navigatlantique Trophy won by JIBE SET

La Rochelle Nautique welcomed the French J/70 class for the ninth and final stage of the Coupe de France. This 2024 edition of the always very friendly Trophée Navigatlantique took place from November 9th to 11th in ideal weather conditions with sun and winds of 5 to 16 knots.

After eight races, it was Hervé Leduc's JIBE SET crew of Christine Briand, Stephane Barraux, and Thomas Cormier that won with four 1sts and three 2nds for 10 pts net.

Taking the silver medal was Philippe Guigne's SAILING IMPACT crew of Cedric Meunier, Damien Scelo, and Tanguy Caron with three 1sts and three 2nds in their tally for 12 pts net.

Rounding out the podium on the bronze medal step was Nicolas Rostand's LE TIB team of Iris Rostand, Stephane LeFranc, Jean-Paul Roux, and Gaetan Aunette with a 1st and four 3rds for 23 pts net.

125 boats started the 125nm May Bank Holiday race One hundred and twenty-five boats started the 125.0nm RORC Myth of Malham Race, held over the United Kingdom's Bank Holiday Weekend.
