US Sailing is proud to announce AEON School as the Official School of US Sailing. This groundbreaking partnership will provide young sailors with the opportunity to pursue academic excellence while following their passion for the water. AEON School offers a flexible and innovative digital learning platform that is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of student-athletes, helping them balance their schedules between sailing and a world-class education.

"AEON and US Sailing are committed to fostering the next generation of leaders, both on the water and in the classroom," said Eric Krasnoo, SVP of Membership, Partnerships, and Marketing at US Sailing. "This partnership ensures that sailors can continue their academic progress while giving space to also focus on sailing, whether it is their performance in training and competition, or their career development to join the marine industry."

As the Official School of US Sailing, AEON offers student-athletes a personalized learning experience that goes beyond mere flexibility. With a laser focus on live, small-group instruction, push-button access to office hours with dedicated faculty, and a proven track record in college placement, AEON creates the ideal environment for rigorous academics, alongside the demanding schedules of all types of sailors in pursuit of their high-performance or career-minded goals. The school's 12-month academic calendar ensures that sailors can prioritize their performance both on and off the water, all while staying on course for exceptional college admissions.

Formerly known as Avenues Online, AEON School is co-founded by leaders in global education and serves students from over 36 countries across six continents. AEON's platform fosters a dynamic global learning community, allowing students to connect, collaborate, and grow under the guidance of esteemed international faculty.

"At AEON, we recognize that the pursuit of excellence in both academics and athletics plays a pivotal role in shaping our students' future paths," said Maggie Wollner, Head of School, AEON. "We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will create for talented young sailors, who will join our global community of lifelong learners."

This collaboration continues AEON's history of successful partnerships with youth sports organizations, which have paved the way for student-athletes to excel both in their sports and in academics, with many going on to prestigious universities worldwide.

Through this partnership, sailors and their families will benefit from:

  • A Dedicated Scholarship Program for young sailors, enabling them to take advantage of an AEON School education.
  • A Series of Webinars on balancing high-performance athletics with high-performance academics.
  • A New Website, aeonschool.org/ussailing, where families can find detailed information about this partnership and educational opportunities.
  • AEON's Presence at the December Junior Olympic Regatta in Jensen Beach, FL, offering an opportunity to engage directly with AEON representatives and learn about its unique educational programs.
