Cleansport One secures a historic fourth victory at the 21st Jabuka Regatta

by JK Tijat Vodice 12 Nov 2024 12:21 PST 8-10 November 2024

Cleansport One is the winner of the 21st edition of the regatta Jabuka, organized by JK Tijat with the start and finish in Vodice.

Following a spectacular night start in front of the city, exactly 100 sailboats and nearly a thousand sailors set off on the 110-mile long route to the most remote Croatian island. A bura wind that strengthened to over 15 knots during the night from Friday to Saturday ensured one of the fastest sails in the first leg of the regatta. By the first light of dawn, more than 80 sailboats had rounded Jabuka, and Cleansport One was the first to finish, arriving in Vodice at 9:49:29 on Saturday morning after nearly ten hours of sailing.

"Participating in the Jabuka Regatta is always a pleasure for all of us. The combination of JK Tijat's excellent organization and the unique atmosphere makes this regatta a wonderful sailing experience. This year's perfect weather conditions made it even more special, so all the sailors were truly privileged to enjoy the beauty of the Adriatic," said Marjan Kocila, helmsman of Cleansport One.

With its 21st edition, the Jabuka Regatta has reaffirmed its status as Croatia's premier offshore race, attracting sailors from all over the world. The event, which perfectly combines stunning natural scenery and the thrill of competitive sailing, has become a must-do for sailors seeking an unforgettable experience in the Adriatic. Over 60% of the participating crews were international, highlighting the regatta's global appeal.
