Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones and Persico Marine have proudly announced the forthcoming launch of their innovative high-performance yacht Magic Carpet e, which has just passed a technical pre-launch with flying colours at Persico's La Spezia shipyard.

"The Magic Carpet name has long embodied prestige, innovation and the relentless pursuit of excellence in yachting. At the heart of this legacy is Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones, whose passion and vision have shaped a series of yachts that continuously redefine performance on the water combined with comfort and styling. More than 2 decades after the first Magic Carpet set sail, Sir Lindsay has embarked on a new chapter together with Persico Marine, whose high-performance yacht brand is renowned for excellence. Now, they are about to unveil the most pioneering creation in the series: Magic Carpet e.

This 100-foot masterpiece, envisioned by the renowned naval architect Guillaume Verdier, is a true fusion of art and technology. Blending innovation with elegance, Magic Carpet e promises unmatched performance at the highest levels of competitive sailing.

Sir Lindsay's choosing Persico Marine to bring this vision to life means that Magic Carpet e will represent the pinnacle of yacht design, engineering and execution. This extraordinary yacht is now nearing completion at Persico's La Spezia facility, following the recent technical pre-launch. With the official unveiling scheduled for spring 2025 at Saint-Tropez, the world of yachting is waiting eagerly as the testing and fine-tuning push the boundaries of innovation, setting the stage for a season unlike any other.

As anticipation builds, Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones's steadfast commitment to advancing the technological frontier is central to the project, ensuring that this latest achievement continues the Magic Carpet legacy of embracing the future of performance. While built for racing excellence, Magic Carpet e also features an exceptional focus on the interior and comfort.

For Persico Marine, Magic Carpet e is the successful result of its relentless drive for innovation in marine design and engineering. "Projects like Magic Carpet e push us to transcend boundaries," Marcello Persico, CEO of Persico Marine, noted. "In an era when it seems that any innovative and fast sailing yacht has to be a foiler, this project will prove there is practically no limit to the trailblazing concepts that can be developed for a 'traditional yacht'. Magic Carpet e definitely raises the bar in high-performance technology to a level never reached until now.

Stay tuned for the grand unveiling in March 2025.
