World Cat debuts new 400DC-X Island

by World Cat 30 Oct 2024 17:22 PDT

World Cat has launched the new 400DC-X Island, the successor to the 400DC-X, at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. This all-new dual console catamaran was created to provide the sophisticated island escape customers crave. Offering big water capability and comfort package options for overnights on the water, the 400DC-X Island quickly becomes a mobile oasis.

With a length of 39' 8" long and 12' 8" beam, the 400DC-X Dual Console Island boasts over 200 square feet of usable deck space. Designed with comfort in mind, this all-new model features a standard portside L-lounge; two bow tables; an aft deck with extended swim/dive platforms, rails, and WC dive ladder; MarineMat decking; and an entertainment center featuring a refrigerator drawer, aft facing seats w/ storage, storage drawer, helm air conditioning vents, and a tilt-out trash can. Below the deck you can find a spacious berth with storage, coming standard with 16,000 BTU cockpit/below deck air conditioning with companion outlets; a tinted overhead skylight; and a convertible couch/daybed with forward storage locker and microwave.

Also standard on this dual console is a freshwater head; hot water heater; sink and vanity with storage; 120V outlets; vanity lighting; a walk-in shower with seat and curtain; and twin Garmin GPSMAP 8616 screens, Garmin B175M Transducer, remote Mic VHF radio and antenna.

"When re-designing this unique model, we wanted to lean into what our current 400DC-X owners loved about their boat, and offer even more practical use amenities that allow the entire family to enjoy each adventure on the open water," said World Cat Vice President of Sales and Marketing Chad Armstrong. "While this model still offers the smooth ride, expansive deck space, stability, and fuel efficiency World Cat Catamarans are known for, it also heavily focuses on the durability and comfort that so many consumers require for long hours on the water through the harshest of conditions. This new iteration of the 400DC-X offers so many possibilities, from cruising with your family, fishing with your crew, or spending a night on the water, this model can do it all."

The new 400DC-X Island also boasts a max horsepower of 1200HP (2 x 600 HP), a 464 gal (2 x 232 gal) fuel capacity and a 52 gal fresh water capacity.

Optional on the 400DC-X Island are port or starboard 200-qt insulated fish boxes; bait prep with freshwater sink and a 30 gal livewell with Shurflo 1100 GPH pump on the starboard side; a summer kitchen with a sink, electric grill, and 36 ltr. fridge (stb); integrated electric Sureshade; an overnight package that upgrades the standard lithium ship's power to a Fisher-Panda 8kW generator; L-lounge filler and pneumatic table; molded in transom seats; and more.

The 400DC-X Island can be powered by Twin Yamaha V-8 450 XTOs, Twin Mercury V-10 Verado 400s, or Twin Mercury V-12 Verado 600s.
