After a week of challenging weather conditions in Venice, this year's EUROSAF Mixed Offshore European Championship reached its dramatic conclusion with the triumph of Team Norway.

The championship, which opened on October 2nd at the historic Arsenal of Venice, brought together ten international teams from four continents. The crews sailed along various routes through the Adriatic Sea with stops in Croatia, Montenegro and Albania.

In the end Karl Otto Book and Maren Magda Book from Norway defeated the Swedish team (Lena Having and Eivind Boymo-Malm). Team Germany (Fabian Kennis and Melanie Aalburg) secured third place. The race, characterized by heavy wind and cold temperatures ended in a spectacular finish through the channel of the Venice Bay, with the first boats crossing the line just a few hundred meters apart.

During the race, there was a serious incident aboard Team South Africa, when Michaela Robinson was injured on her head. Thanks to the quick response of the Italian Air Force, who provided a SAR helicopter and the Venice Port Authority, she was safely rescued and transported to the hospital. Despite the accident and the weather conditions, the regatta concluded successfully.
