The Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) has approved their first RORC team for the 2025 Admiral's Cup to be held in July 2025. James Neville's Carkeek 45 Ino Noir and Per Roman's JPK 1180 Garm will be racing under the RORC Burgee.

James Neville, RORC Commodore 2021-2023, was one of the leading protagonists for the return of the Admiral's Cup. Ino Noir was launched in 2023 and will be racing in Admiral's Cup Class 1 racing under IRC. In a fleet of 358 boats racing under IRC, Ino Noir was ninth for the 2023 Rolex Fastnet Race.

"Representing the RORC for the return of the Admiral's Cup in the centenary year of the club is a special privilege especially when you consider the phenomenal competitors that came before us," commented James Neville. "We are expecting some world class teams that are already competing at the top level internationally. Bringing back the Admiral's Cup is a wonderful way to celebrate the centenary of the Royal Ocean Racing Club, victory will be very hard to achieve we will be going all out to be successful."

RORC member Per Roman has been campaigning Garm extensively since 2021, including the Rolex Fastnet Race, Rolex Middle Sea Race, and in July 2024 won IRC One Class and was second overall under IRC for the Roschier Baltic Sea Race. Garm will be racing in Admiral's Cup Class 2 racing under IRC.

"I am tremendously honoured to represent the RORC in The Admiral's Cup together with James, commented Per Roman. "Garm has connections with Great Britain, Spain and Sweden but at the end of the day, we sail for the Club. Ever since my father sailed for Sweden in the Admiral's Cup, it's been a dream to compete and therefore fantastic to see it back. Our tactician Gustavo Doriente and I have built a team that can be strong both inshore and offshore, it is important to have a good balance. The Admiral's Cup is going to be really competitive; a hornet's nest!"

Over 25 expressions of interest in the 2025 Admiral's Cup have been received from prestigious yacht clubs all over the world, a number of which are intending to enter multiple teams. The Royal Ocean Racing Club is expecting to announce another RORC team soon.
