Vilamoura Marina, one of the world's premier boating destinations, has been awarded the prestigious international 'Superyacht Marina of the Year' and international 'Sustainable Marina of the Year' at the TYHA Marina Awards 2024.

These awards highlight Vilamoura Marina's unwavering dedication to excellence, outstanding service, and its commitment to delivering top-tier experiences for yacht owners, boaters, and visitors alike. The awards come in a milestone year, as Vilamoura Marina celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of exceptional service and world-class facilities for maritime enthusiasts worldwide.

The announcement took place on Wednesday, 18th September during the Southampton International Boat Show — one of the most significant events in the global marine industry. The TYHA (The Yacht Harbour Association) Marina Awards celebrate excellence within the marina sector and bring together representatives from over 200 Gold Anchor accredited marinas internationally.

Vilamoura Marina has distinguished itself as a leader in customer service, innovation, and environmental sustainability. These awards recognise marinas that have not only met but exceeded industry standards in enhancing the customer experience and preserving marine environments.

Isolete Correia, CEO of Vilamoura, commented on the double win: "We are absolutely thrilled and deeply honoured to be named both 'Superyacht Marina of the Year' and 'Sustainable Marina of the Year' at the TYHA Marina Awards 2024. This recognition on a global scale is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and forward-thinking approach of our entire team. It reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence in serving our superyacht clients and our ongoing efforts to lead the industry in sustainable practices. We're proud to provide an outstanding, environmentally responsible experience for all who visit Vilamoura Marina."

Further solidifying its status as a premier yachting destination, Vilamoura has recently announced the construction of a new superyacht marina, set to open in 2024. The development will feature three pontoons with 68 berths designed for large vessels between 20 and 40 meters in length. Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, the new marina will offer first-class facilities, including individual waste-water pump-out systems, electric boat charging points, and advanced systems for remote monitoring and management of water and electricity consumption.
