The Louis Vuitton Cup Round Robins are not over yet. Another day of inclement weather brought heavy rain across Barcelona and an eventual abandonment to the highly anticipated final day of racing, of the Louis Vuitton Cup Round Robin.

The AC75’s headed out on time for the last day of racing, with Emirates Team New Zealand scheduled to race NYYC American Magic, only to be told to return to the dock, due to an incoming thunderstorm.

The teams then waited at their bases for the green light from the Regatta Director, Iain Murray who was determined to complete the racing on schedule. However, despite the sun coming out and rain clearing, the wind did not settle in time to get any races away. The abandonment for the day being called at 1620 local time.

The final three races are now rescheduled to take place tomorrow, where all eyes will be especially focused on the first two races (Orient Express Racing Team vs INEOS Britania & Alinghi Red Bull Racing vs Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli) to determine the top qualifier, and which team is first to be eliminated from the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup competition.

For Emirates Team New Zealand, their final race of the Louis Vuitton Cup Round Robins will be against NYYC American Magic.
