Sail-World.com and Noblesse Yachts are inviting readers to join this year's Les Voiles de St Tropez. Readers can join the crew with an exclusive discount of up to €500 on a week aboard the latest addition to their fleet, VIM, during this year's Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, scheduled from September 28th to October 6th, 2024.

Initially commissioned in 1939 by yachting icon Harold S. Vanderbilt, VIM represents a remarkable chapter in yachting history. Noblesse now offers sailing enthusiasts the opportunity to participate in thrilling competitions aboard VIM, joining Les Voiles de St Tropez either for the entire week or for individual days.

Les Voiles de St Tropez

Les Voiles de St Tropez is an annual regatta that blends the timeless elegance of classic yachts with the thrilling prowess of modern racing boats. Nestled on the stunning French Riviera, the picturesque town of Saint-Tropez serves as the backdrop for this prestigious event, creating an atmosphere of maritime charm and celebration.

Established in 1999 by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, this event gathers an impressive array of classic boats, some over a hundred years old, as well as cutting-edge modern yachts. With over 250 participating vessels, this exceptional mix celebrates the original spirit of fair play, promising the best regattas on the water and the best atmosphere on land.

"The participation of VIM at the Voiles de Saint-Tropez is a tribute to the rich history of these elegant yachts and our deep passion for this sport. Our premium regatta package offers guests the opportunity to sail aboard VIM during the regatta — a unique experience unparalleled before," says Adi Konstatzky, founder and CEO of Noblesse.

What to expect

The regatta spans a captivating week filled with an array of races and events for various boat classes. Courses meander along the breathtaking coastlines and into the azure waters, delivering an exciting blend of coastal and windward-leeward challenges. As the week unfolds, the excitement crescendos with the grand "Voiles Super Boats" race, a thrilling showcase of speed and seamanship. Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is not merely a sailing event, it's a cultural celebration. Spectators and participants alike can savor a rich assortment of onshore activities, from boat parades to lively crew parties. This year, Noblesse invite you to join the crew both on and off the water.

About VIM:

Harold S. Vanderbilt commissioned VIM, a classic 12-metre class yacht, in 1939. Renowned designer Olin J. Stephens of Sparkman & Stephens was tasked with her design. Vanderbilt envisioned a yacht capable of winning the America's Cup. While narrowly missing this goal in 1958, VIM nonetheless secured a lasting place in sailing history. Since then, she has remained actively in service, sailing in some of the most prestigious regattas in the Mediterranean today.
