The launch of hull No.100 marks the success of this yacht, which continues to captivate an international clientele.

Introduced in 2017, following a period of global economic crisis, this 15-meter yacht was a true challenge for the shipyard's teams. Smaller than its predecessors, with a different hull design and rigging choice, it broke away from the traditional brand codes. Nevertheless, it quickly proved its heritage, offering customers everything that makes an AMEL a safe, comfortable, and easy-to-handle boat, with the added bonus of significantly improved sailing performance. The La Rochelle-based architect duo, Olivier and Isabelle Racoupeau, successfully preserved the shipyard's DNA while infusing this model with a vibrant energy.

Awarded twice by the specialized press, first in 2018 with the European Yacht of the Year award, and then in 2020 with Sail USA's Best Boat of the Year, the AMEL 50 has since benefited from developments implemented by the shipyard's design office, always striving to enhance the yacht's autonomy, onboard comfort, and environmental sustainability.

When the sale was finalized in June 2022, the 100th AMEL 50 had already been celebrated by the shipyard teams. At that time, the order book was full for the next two years. Although the current slowdown in the nautical industry is being felt, the AMEL 50 is sold out until the end of 2025, with a few delivery dates already confirmed for 2026.

Emmanuel Poujeade, the CEO of the shipyard: "The launch of the 100th AMEL 50 is a testament to our shipyard's commitment to excellence and innovation. We are, of course, deeply grateful to the clients who have chosen us to build their yacht, and we are always thrilled to see that the AMEL concept appeals to such a wide variety of nationalities and sailor profiles. This milestone not only highlights the success of this model but also the enthusiasm and dedication of all our teams."

Building on this success, AMEL envisions the future with the ambition of making its yachts even more reliable and comfortable. Since July 2023, the company has been undertaking extensive modernization work at its production site, staying true to the legacy left by its founder while reinventing it for a world that increasingly values environmental and human principles. AMEL remains dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences at sea for its clients.
