This morning, during the YCCS members' General Assembly Andrea Recordati was elected Commodore of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

A YCCS member since 1998, Recordati joined the Club's Board of Directors in 2005 as a Councillor. Last year he became the delegate representative of Yacht Club Costa Smeralda's Sport Sector activities in support of the Sport Sector Director.

"I am honoured to be able to represent the YCCS at an institutional level, especially in a four-year period with great significance for a Club which will celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of its foundation in 2027. I thank the President, S.A. the Aga Khan, the President of the Board of Directors, Princess Zahra Aga Khan, the Board of Directors and all the Club's members for the trust placed in me", stated Andrea Recordati, newly elected Commodore of the YCCS.

A great sailing enthusiast, Recordati has taken part in national and international maxi yacht regattas, first with the Wally 100' Indio then, since 2022, with the Wally 93' Bullitt always representing the YCCS. Last October aboard Bullitt he achieved a historic result by winning the 44th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race.

The new YCCS Commodore has a real passion for the sea and loves to explore the oceans, sailing to remote corners of the Pacific and the Arctic aboard his yachts.
