PRO-SET Epoxy OK class UK National Championships at Brixham Yacht Club - Day 2

by Jennie Clark 20 Jul 2024 00:39 PDT 18-21 July 2024

A day of two halves at the PRO-SET Epoxy OK Nationals today. The fleet launched into a dying easterly and waited in glassy waters for the wind to fill in from the shore. The first racer was in light conditions with Nick Craig taking the gun from Ed Bradburn with Adam Savage sailing a blinder to take third.

The second race started in a building breeze and turned into a two-way contest between Jim Downer and Nick Craig with Jim taking the gun from Nick with overnight leader Charlie Cumbley in third.

After four races, Nick has taken the lead with the consistent Ed Bradburn in second and Charlie in third. There's more breeze forecast for next two days so the competition is still wide open.

The evening prize-giving takes place 'after supper' with Class Chair Karen Robertson awarding the daily prizes.
