Renowned Dutch bluewater yacht builder Contest Yachts has partnered with the Ancasta Group to form Contest Yachts UK.

As a part of Contest Yachts' continuing expansion plans in key markets, this new initiative and the creation of a dedicated UK sales organisation is a strategic move to strengthen its sales network and increase its presence in the UK.

"As one of the largest yachts sales companies in the UK, and with over 35 years' experience, Ancasta is the ideal partner for Contest Yachts in the UK as we endeavour to amplify our reach around the world," says Arjen Conijn, CEO at Contest Yachts.

"The dedicated Contest Yachts UK team will be able to draw upon Ancasta's considerable yacht sales and service expertise to introduce new owners to our high-quality Dutch approach to performance bluewater cruising, as well as offer an unparalleled level of service and support to our owners.

"We are very confident that in Ancasta we have found the right partner to build our brand and grow our presence in the UK."

Based in Medemblik in the Netherlands on the banks of the Ijsselmeer, Contest Yachts has been crafting high-quality, performance yachts for over six decades.

Fusing modern construction methods with traditional boat building techniques, this third generation, family run business works closely with each owner to design and build strong, easy to handle performance yachts for coastal, offshore and bluewater exploration, all uniquely certified by Lloyd's Register.

Nick Griffith, Ancasta Group Managing Director, comments: "The UK's maritime past and sailing heritage make this an important market for a leading yacht builder such as Contest Yachts.

"With its 60-plus year history of incredible craft, from the Olympic class Flying Dutchman dinghy in the early days to the remarkable performance bluewater cruising yachts of today, we are delighted that Contest Yachts has entrusted us to represent it in such a significant market for the brand.

"Our very strong and well supported Contest Yachts UK team will ensure the best possible presentation of the brand and its stunning range of yachts in the UK."
