Volvo Cork Week is ramping up for an epic regatta starting with racing, fun and games for an international crew of sailors hell bent on enjoying the famous regatta.

Volvo Cork Week has been organised by the Royal Cork Yacht Club since 1978 and the 2024 edition is promising a week of good breeze on a variety of Harbour, Coastal and Windward Leeward courses. The first racing gun is due to sound on Monday 15th of July with five days of thrilling racing on the schedule.

Well over 100 boats and hundreds of sailors from Ireland and all over the world are competing at the Royal Cork's famous regatta. The vast array of boat designs range from high performance carbon fibre flyers to Quarter Tonners and everything in between. Four keelboat classes will be dual rated under IRC and Echo. Racing in sportsboats at Volvo Cork Week will be the 1720 Class for the European Championship and new this year, the RS21 Class.

For a unique experience, the Beaufort Cup provides offshore and inshore racing as an inter-services regatta within Volvo Cork Week. For those new to racing, or for cruising boats that count fun above the need to win. Two Non-Spinnaker Classes offers an ideal programme to enjoy.

The Royal Cork Yacht Club welcomes all competitors and their family and friends to the Volvo Cork Week Event Village. During the day, there is fun designed for all the family with children's activities and a play area and Pop-up grills and bars. After racing, the fun doesn't stop with Volvo Cork Week moving into party mode. Live music, street food vendors and the bustling Royal Cork Bar will be buzzing.

Ashore the legendary craic of Volvo Cork Week has already begun with a family day on Sunday 14th July including the Coastal Market and the official Volvo Cork Week 2024 Opening Ceremony.
