WASZP French Championship 2024 at La Grande Motte

by WASZP Class 9 Jul 2024 00:20 PDT 1-7 July 2024

The build-up towards the International WASZP Games in Norway is heating up with challengers beginning to step up. Pablo Astiazaran Perez from Spain has been putting pressure on Dane Magnus Overbeck at the last few events.

The scores were very tight before Overbeck had to rush to the airport to ensure he made it to the SailGP INSPIRE Grand Final in San Francisco, subsequently missing the final race of the event.

The event was sailed in glamorous conditions and brilliantly hosted by the Grand Motte Mediterranean training centre (CEM). 42 Sailors greeted the racecourse that was often frequented by Dolphins in the beautiful blue Med.

We are now only 1-month away from 180 boats hitting the startline in Norway for the International WASZP Games. An event that will break all kinds of records for the class and set new standards for foiling events moving forward!
