Show support for INEOS Britannia with exclusive clothing range from Henri-Lloyd

by Henri-Lloyd 2 Jul 2024 09:09 PDT

The race to win the 37th America's Cup has started, with INEOS Britannia's new race boat launched in Barcelona with Olympic Gold Medallist Sir Ben Ainslie at the helm.

With Official Performance Clothing Partner Henri-Lloyd developing an exclusive range of unique, technically-designed and engineered clothing for the race team, the company has now launched its range of limited-edition INEOS Britannia supporters clothing.

Featuring the INEOS Britannia logos in smart navy with orange trim, there's a choice of on the water and onshore clothing and accessories designed and manufactured to Henri-Lloyd's high technical standards.

The INEOS Supporter Mav Light Jacket retails at £250 and is designed for ultimate performance. Responsibly crafted from recycled polyester, this 100% waterproof taped seam shell jacket is the ultimate 'go to' whether facing the elements at sea, or offering protection from wind and rain onshore. The stretch fabric enables easy movement and comfort at all times.

For a great mid-layer piece which offers wind and water resistance, the INEOS Supporter Aktiv Stretch is a technical and feature-loaded jacket, ideal to be worn alone or under a shell jacket. Breathable, and with thermal insulation to manage heat and cold, the Aktiv Stretch is made from recycled fabrics and features soft microfleece pockets with a secure zipped chest pocket to keep valuables safe. The Aktiv Stretch retails at £125.

INEOS Supporter Polos and Tee Shirts are made from 100% organic cotton and come in white and navy in unisex sizes. They retail at £85 for the Polos and £65 for the Tee shirts. For extra warmth there's also an Elevated Sweat Shirt in navy retailing at £100. Top off your support with an INEOS cap or sun hat, £35.

For the youngsters there's a range of INEOS Supporter Junior sized Tee shirts, caps and sun hats to choose from - all featuring the INEOS branding and made to Henri-Lloyds exacting high quality standards.

INEOS Britannia's Team Principal and Skipper, Sir Ben Ainslie is wearing the Henri-Lloyd race and shore gear throughout the campaign. He commented "One of the mainstays during my career has been Henri-Lloyd. They have proven themselves to be at the forefront of performance and innovation. INEOS Britannia is taking on the challenge of a lifetime as we aim to win the oldest trophy in modern sport, we're excited that with 60 years of experience producing the best performance sailing clothing in the world, Henri-Lloyd will again support us as we push the boundaries of what is possible."

Protection and performance are not a new concept to Henri-Lloyd, who in 2023 celebrated 60 years as an industry leader, producing the worlds' best waterproof clothing. It was their founder Henri Strzelecki who started the company born out of the idea of protecting the pioneers of round the world sailing. He wanted to create products that would protect in any condition, as well as allow them the ability to perform at the highest level. This passion for protection produced ground breaking technological developments that remain industry standards to this day, from taped seams to waterproof zips.

Graham Allen, who was CEO of Henri-Lloyd at the time, was at the forefront of the INEOS Britannia relationship. He said, "When you race at the limits of what is possible, you need protection and performance that delivers. We understand the importance of marginal gains, every stitch, every seam is critical, there is no room for error, if the kit fails, it impacts not only the performance of the athlete, but their safety as well. Six decades of proven experience and innovation at Henri-Lloyd has enabled us to create a range of products to test the boundaries of design and engineering as we support INEOS Britannia to make history and win the oldest trophy in modern sport."

Whilst many sailors can only dream of ever racing at the pinnacle of the sport demonstrated by the America's Cup campaign, at least they can show their support wearing INEOS Britannia branded clothing.

The Henri-Lloyd INEOS Britannia range of merchandise is available online and from Henri-Lloyd stores in Cowes, Salcombe and Dartmouth.
