The MidsummerSail 2024 has a winner, as the Swedish boat Luft crosssed the finish link to win line honours after crossing the Baltic sea from its southernmost to northernmost point.
After 5 days, 13 hours, 35 minutes and 9 seconds, the Swedish sailing yacht LUFT, skippered by Carl Urban and his crew, was the first boat to reach the yellow buoy at the end of the Baltic Sea. They also broke the record for the IRC corrected time, dethroning last year's WET ONE. The IRC record now stands at 6 days, 19 hours, 14 minutes and 31 seconds.
Class 40 CHEEKYTATOO with Nicolas Manthos and his co-skipper Jonas Kroner were following closely on their heels after the two boats led the fleet since the start.
