Dockmate®, manufacturer of advanced wireless remote-control systems for yachts, announced today it has been selected by Maritimo Americas as a choice for remote control docking solutions for all Maritimo vessels.

Easy to install, the Dockmate remote control system lets captains and crew operate engines, bow and stern thrusters, anchor winches and horns from anywhere on board with a small handheld device. The wireless remote control lets users confidently command the boat's movement while stepping away from the helm for the best vantage point. With its patented SoftDocking technology, revolutionary ThrusterHold feature and the Dockmate Positioning System (DPS) solution that was recently recognized with an NMMA Innovation Award at the Miami International Boat Show, Dockmate far exceeds the functionality and value of any other remote docking solutions in the industry.

Each Dockmate system comes with a rugged, wireless, handheld transmitter with an easy-grip rubber finish that sits comfortably in your hand. Its lanyard keeps it in easy reach and the wireless charger lets the remote act as a joystick system at the helm. The powerful, waterproof, floating transmitter's two-way communication ensures faultless and reliable operation. The Dockmate offers two different remotes for Maritimo customers, the TWIN, for more conventional users and the TWIST for users wanting a joystick feel.

"We have been using a different wireless remote control and then a client introduced us to Dockmate," said Tom Jagucki, Maritimo Corporate Captain. "I was very impressed with the customization capabilities of the DockControl software. We did a sea trial and adjusted the amount of throttle to the owner's exact specifications. Moving forward, we will offer Dockmate as an aftermarket wireless remote control option."

"We are thrilled that Maritimo owners are now installing Dockmate as a remote control docking system on their boat," said Marc Curreri, CEO, Dockmate US. "We pride ourselves in working closely with engine control manufacturers and boat builders to provide solutions that match their needs. A Dockmate system elevates the ownership experience, and we are confident that Maritimo owners will be more than satisfied with its ease of use."
