Hellerup Sailing Club wins Danish J/70 Sailing League- Act 1

The Royal Danish Yacht Club (KDY) hosted the first of two weekends of Danish J/70 Sailing League regattas at their sailing facilities in Aarhus, Denmark.

The regatta marked the start of the sailing league season, taking place on May 18-19 and May 25-26 for both Division 1 and Division 2 sailing leagues. Each league is comprised of 18 sailing clubs. The events are organized in collaboration with Sailing Aarhus and Aarhus International Sailing Sportscenter and will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Denmark's premier sailing league.

After ten races sailed, both the Hellerup Sejklub and Faaborg Sejklub ended up tied at 28 pts each! Winning that countback by most 1sts was the Hellerup team, with Faaborg having to settle for the silver medal! Just two points back in third place was Skovshvoed Sejklub II with 30 pts. Rounding out the top five was ASK Team Hund in fourth with 31 pts and Hellerup Sejklub WC in fifth place with 34 pts.
