It's less than two until racing kicks off at Hayling Island SC for the 2024 UK Europe National Championships! As well as the overall UK Europe National title, sailors will also be racing for the UK Europe Women's and Youth (U19) National Championship trophies!

The UK Europe class are always looking for ways to support and boost their diverse range of sailors. For this year's event, the UK Europe Class Association will be supporting the youth and women's fleets with a dedicated support RIB, offering support on the water where necessary, as well as feeding in observations for a daily debrief after each day - all with the aim of encouraging participation and maximising the event experience for all sailors!

For the youth sailors, these debriefs will be led by Ben Harris, a former UK Europe Youth National Champion who finished 4th at last year's Nationals, utilising several years of coaching experience in the Nacra 15 and Waszp classes. The Women's fleet debriefs will be led by Lucy Boreham, our class chair who's name frequents the UK Europe Women's National Champion trophy.

This event support will be open to all female sailors, or any sailor under the age of 21, providing a great incentive to get your entry in. Whether you're at the front of the fleet or racing at your first Europe event, the class looks forward to welcoming you to be part of the fun, friendly community of UK Europe Sailors!

For any sailors who don't quite fit into these categories, and feel like they might be missing out, don't worry! With an action packed social schedule, as well as spot prizes throughout the fleet kindly, there is sure to be something for everyone! Whilst the class are trialling the daily debriefs this year, there are plans to roll this out across the whole fleet at future events!

If you haven't already, get your entry in now and join the 44 entries so far, including sailors from France, Germany and Denmark! The UK Europe Class Association can't wait to see you at HISC from the 30th May to 2nd June...
