Eight Cape 31's enjoyed an exhilarating week of racing against the backdrop of the stunning Island of Porquerolles in the Côte d'Azur. This weekend (23rd - 26th May) the teams head to Hyeres for Round 4.

Round 3 - Porquerolles

Round 3 of the Cape 31 Med Circuit was part of the Porquerolles Race 2024.

The four days of racing brought a mixture of windward leeward racing with coastal racing - a welcome challenge from the usual windward leeward format of racing. The teams had quite light tricky conditions to contend with Aspire Sailing bringing out the early lead in the regatta. With race wins from four out of the eight teams - Aspire, Shotgunn, Essentia and Stella Maris - the competition was tight.

August Schram and his team on Stella Maris enjoyed their first victory in the class having just shipped their new boat up from South Africa where they commissioned their boat to compete in the Cape 31 Summer in the South Series. Round 3 Results.

Yacht Club de Porquerolles look forward to welcoming the class back in 2025.

Round 4 - Hyeres

This weekend six teams head to Hyeres for Round 4 of the MED circuit hosted by COYCH following their busy few weeks with the Olympic Classes.

Circuit leaders Give Me Five are back, as well as third place at Rounds 1 & 2 Pascal Feryn's Solano. We have one new team joining us having been newly commissioned in Palma, Otto and Gaby Pohlmann, Meerblick are also joining in the fun.

Racing begins on Friday following a training day hosted by Victor Marino, Doyle Sails. Victor will be putting the teams through their paces and helping to get them up to speed pre regatta.
