WEST SYSTEM, a leading provider of marine-grade epoxy, is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of the Spirit Yachts Regatta 2024.

The event, exclusively for Spirit Yachts' owners, crew, and guests, will take place in St. Peter Port, Guernsey, from Saturday 15th June to Saturday 22nd June 2024.

Following the regatta's triumphant debut in 2022, the Spirit Yachts Regatta returns this year, boasting a vibrant and action-packed itinerary. Hosted by Guernsey Yacht Club, in partnership with Locate Guernsey, the island's capital, St Peter Port, will be the hub of this nautical event. The regatta will host a sequence of six races planned for high velocity, IRC rated competition racing with yachts varying in size from 37ft to beyond 100ft.

Spirit Yachts Managing Director Karen Underwood commented, "The regatta is a showcase of the Spirit fleet, and we are delighted WEST SYSTEM will once again be an integral part of the event. The regatta ethos brings together trusted partners and suppliers to provide Spirit owners with a team of experts in their field for the week. Spirits have been built with WEST SYSTEM for over 30 years, the products are consistently reliable, and the team's knowledge is invaluable; they are a natural fit for our flagship event."

WEST SYSTEM products have been fundamental to the structural integrity of Spirit Yachts, contributing to their reputation for quality and durability. The regatta provides a platform to showcase the reliability and performance of the epoxy products, which have been used in the construction of all Spirit Yachts' designs since the company was founded in 1993.

The race committee, led by an experienced Race Officer, has planned a variety of passage, coastal, and windward/leeward courses to suit all Spirit Yachts. The committee aims to be flexible, depending on the tides and weather, to offer the best possible course setting throughout the week.

In addition to the racing, attendees can look forward to a programme of varied social events. The regatta will kick off with welcome drinks sponsored by Locate Guernsey at Castle Cornet on Saturday 15th June. Other highlights include a sunset dinner on Herm Island and the regatta prize-giving dinner at the Old Government House hotel.

David Johnson, Sales Director of Wessex Resins and Adhesives, the UK manufacturer of WEST SYSTEM Epoxy products, shared his enthusiasm about the upcoming event. "This has been an enviable partnership spanning some 30 plus years. We have worked closely with Spirit Yachts in testing, production technique, and staff training within the scope of the use of our WEST SYSTEM and PRO-SET® Epoxy products. This is the second occasion of our flagship sponsorship of the Spirit Yachts Guernsey regatta. We are looking forward to this and many more."
