by ENVSN 22 Mar 2024 12:40 AEDT

By decree on March 7th, the Minister of Sports and the Olympic Games has officially appointed Mr. Philippe Fourrier as the President of the board of directors of the National School of Sailing and Water Sports (ENVSN), succeeding Mr. Thierry Verneuil.

Knight of the national order of merit and the maritime merit order, Philippe Fourrier has dedicated his career to the promotion of the maritime world. He has served as General Delegate of the Federation of Nautical Industries (FIN), where he focused on the creation of a deconstruction sector for pleasure boats. Philippe Fourrier is also a founding member of the European Confederation of Nautical Industries (ECNI), now known as the European Boating Industry.

Since 2011, Philippe Fourrier has been the founder and manager of the communication agency ILAGO, supporting numerous stakeholders in the maritime sector. His background is ideally suited to support the evolution of the establishment's project, focusing on the synergy of nautical and maritime sports policies.

Alex Cornu, Director of ENVSN:

"I am delighted with the appointment of Philippe Fourrier as the head of our board of directors. His experience in the fields of nautical sports and maritime will be invaluable for the future of our establishment.
