The Supernova Class Association want to express massive thanks to the 100 members who have signed up to the National Championship this year. The event is taking place on 28th, 29th & 30th June at the amazing Plas Heli sailing centre in North Wales.
To pass through the 100 mark is a fantastic achievement, even more so in the current economic climate.
Amongst the entry list is Geoff Turner sailing 357 - the first prototype Supernova - a boat that is nearing 30 years old (and was 4th out of 120 entrants in the 2016 nationals). Also is Alex Reeve in 1344, fresh out of the mould and just a few weeks old.
Longstanding member Chris Hawley said: "The Supernova is a great boat sailed by great people. Having such a big nationals really cements the Class' position in the UK dinghy scene. It is always great to catch up with friends from round the country, one of the reasons why I keep on supporting the event."
Former Supernova sailor Rachel Vaughan-Jones recently posted online: "The buddy group system was fab for a newbie - at my first event. I miss the camaraderie of the Supernova Fleet."
Entry to this flagship event still be made up to 31 May via the Class Association website, great value at just £130 for the sailing, social and t shirt.
