ePropulsion, the global leader in marine electric propulsion systems and services, announced today that their latest innovation, the eLite electric outboard motor, was named a 2024 Miami Innovation Award Winner at the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show in the Electric Motor/Battery Powered Propulsion/Hybrids and Boats category.

Organized by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and judged by members of Boating Writers International (BWI), the awards which were announced during the Industry Breakfast on Thursday, February 15, 2024, recognize manufacturers and suppliers who bring new, innovative products to market.

Of the eLite, judge Kelsey Bonham said, "There are other electric outboards on the market, but the ePropulsion eLite beats them all in simplicity, weight and price point. This is perfect for a thrifty cruiser, a savvy kayaker and many in between."

"We are very pleased by this sought-after recognition," said Tom Watson, President of ePropulsion USA. "Our team has worked very hard on the eLite, and we're delighted that the judges share our enthusiasm for this innovative and sustainable product that we're so proud of."

The eLite, which has been created for the tender and smaller boating market, represents a new era in clean, quiet and eco-friendly marine propulsion. Designed to be the most compact and lightweight electric outboard in its class, the ePropulsion eLite 500W electric outboard is an easy-to-use alternative to small internal combustion engines. At just under 3-feet in length and weighing 15-pounds including the built-in battery, the eLite stores easily and the one-click quick-release bracket allows for installation and removal in a matter of seconds. The tiller handle converts to a perfectly balanced carry handle. Built to last, the motor is constructed of aviation-grade aluminum alloy for lighter weight and greater durability, and the anti-ground auto kick-up feature protects the motor from accidental damage. Coming in just under $1,000 it is also the most affordable electric outboard in its class. With a focus on minimal maintenance and cutting-edge technology, this addition to the ePropulsion range raises the bar in electric boating standards.
