The second heat of the Skate 2023 Nationals at East Fremantle Yacht Club saw some epic Fremantle Doctor conditions with wind gusts nudging 30 knots and flat water. Perfect for a Skate.
After an absorbing battle Silvio Fico on Gobstopper (937) pinched the lead on the final run to win by 2 seconds from defending champion Greg Patterson on Wot Now (972).
Patterson has a narrow lead after 2 heats. Racing continues this Tuesday the 2nd.
