YachtsandYachting.com and Prometheus Sailing are delighted to announce a new partnership, which will see the long established Sunsail Racing Series renamed as the YachtsandYachting.com Racing Series.

The YachtsandYachting.com Racing Series offers sailors access to a multi-weekend race series in the Solent, culminating in a grand final in the autumn. The series is staged on a perfectly matched fleet of one design yachts, the Sunsail 41 fleet of 41ft Jeanneau performance cruisers. Crews of up to 10 can enter just one of the series or campaign the entire 5 rounds.

The series sees up to 12 teams racing each weekend, with race management provided by a highly experienced race committee on a mobile committee boat. The top two crews from each weekend qualify to enter the series final in November 2024. The series weekends start and finish in Port Solent Marina, taking to the sheltered waters of the Solent and often seeing crews head to Cowes for a Saturday night stop over for crews.

The winners of the YachtsandYachting.com Racing Series Final will be awarded the YachtsandYachting.com Racing Series trophy, along with award winning Mermaid Gin from the local Isle of Wight Distillery.

The 2023 Race Series Final saw the top three places dominated by international teams in 1st and third place, with the J.P. Morgan Sailing Club taking 2nd place.

2023 Racing Series Final Results:

1st Place Petr Denissenko (Skipper) and Dmitry Shemetilo (1st Mate)
2nd Place J.P. Morgan Sailing Club
3rd Place Grant Gillon (Skipper) and Mihai Gheorghita (1st Mate)
