The International RS Tera Class Association (IRSTCA) is excited to announce that the next RS Tera World Championship event will be held in Greve, Denmark from August 3rd - 8th 2024.

Boasting 8 kilometres of white sand beaches and a host of modern amenities, Greve is a stunning location just a short distance from the Danish capital city, Copenhagen. In Greve Strand the water is shallow with hardly any current, making it a safe and fun place to sail. Set back from the beach there are a host of lovely green areas where families can relax.

Sejlklubben Køge Bugt is located within Greve Marina and has been a key part of the sailing community since 1977. With modern facilities, a hospitable spirit and access to a fantastic sailing area, the club is the ideal choice to host the RS Tera World Championship.

Sailors are invited to arrive and register from the morning of Saturday August 3rd, with equipment checks, practice racing and coaching taking place on the 4th. Four days of racing will then commence on Monday, August 5th, with a series of 12 races scheduled. The awards ceremony will round-off the event on Thursday, August 8th, as soon as everyone is off the water.

With 65 boats from 7 countries having participated in the 2023 World Championships in Lake Iseo, Italy, the RS Tera Class is expecting an even bigger turnout for 2024, with many predicting that the 2024 event will see upwards of 80 boats on the start line. Those sailors wishing to compete in the RS Tera Pro rig must be aged 19 or under as of December 1st, 2024, while those competitors wishing to sail using the RS Tera Sport rig need to be 16 or under on December 1st.

"We all win with the right tools, the right team and the right time. RS Tera time in beautiful Denmark is the place to be this summer for top racing, friendship and fun. The IRSTCA aims to help ensure a vibrant, inclusive and internationally diverse event on Køge Bay, one of the best sailing areas in the world." - Berkeley Green (USA), International RS Tera Class Chair.

RS Sailing is once again providing a limited number of charter boats for the event and these can be booked at the time of registration via the RS Sailing Club event registration platform. These are initially reserved for sailors attending the event from outside of Europe in an attempt to encourage as much international participation as possible.

"RS Sailing are very excited to be able to announce that the RS Tera Class World Championship 2024 will be taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Greve Marina, a short distance from the Danish capital city of Copenhagen in Denmark. Having seen how disappointed the hosts were when their dreams of running this event a couple of years ago were cut short due to the global pandemic, it is immensely satisfying that they will get another chance to show the world what an amazing sailing location Greve is and for them to showcase the legendary Danish hospitality to the many international sailors that will be participating, and the family and friends that will be accompanying them. I urge you all to sign up for what promises to be an awesome event and I look forward to seeing you in Denmark in August 2024." - Dan Jaspers (GER), International RS Tera Class Builders' Representative.
