Following the resignation of Commodore Michael Illbruck due to personal reasons, the YCCS Board of Directors has appointed Board Member Andrea Recordati as representative for all activities in the sporting sector of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

Mr Recordati will act as an institutional point of reference in this role, supporting the Sports Director, pending the appointment of the next YCCS Commodore at the Annual Assembly in August 2024.

Andrea Recordati has been an ordinary member of the YCCS for 25 years, and has sat on the Club's Board of Directors since 2005. A keen sailing enthusiast, he has participated in many national and international regattas, achieving significant success. Last year he returned to regatta courses with Bullitt, one of the most recent sailing yachts launched by Wally, and just a few weeks ago he obtained a historic result when he claimed victory in the Rolex Middle Sea Race.

"I am honoured to have this role entrusted to me by the YCCS Board of Directors. I am very attached to the Club, so I had no hesitation in offering my availability and commitment for the coming months, while we wait for the next Commodore to be elected." commented Andrea Recordati.

The YCCS wishes to thank Michael Illbruck for the work carried out during his three-year term of office.
