Andrea Marchesi has claimed the title of champion at the Windsurfer Valencia Sea Festival. The winner of the previous edition held in Valencia Sea, and the champion of Italy and Europe in 2022, has once again shone in the waters of Valencia.

The other winners in different categories include the Italian Silvano Calcagano in the lightweight category, the Frenchman Jean Phillippe Delapierre in the heavyweight category, and Hans Van Aanholt from the Netherlands in the super heavyweight category. It is worth highlighting the high level demonstrated by the sailors, as the Valencia event brought together the best sailors in Europe.

In the end, nearly 60 windsurfers from all parts of the world competed in this championship. Italian windsurfer based in Barcelona, Andrea Marchesi, showcased exceptional skills and claimed the title. In the women's category, the best performer was the Italian Valeria Zullo, followed by the Spanish Pilar Prieto.

Furthermore, this edition featured the organization of the Regional Championship to continue promoting this sport in the Valencian Community. The winner in this category was Darío Quesada from the Benidorm Yacht Club, with Rafa Ros from EV Seasurf Patrol in second place, and José Antonio Pérez García from the Moraira Yacht Club in third place.

In this second edition of the festival in Valencia Sea, the organization managed to bring together the best athletes who participated in the last world championship. Valencia Sea offered various equipment for rent and even provided materials for windsurfers from other disciplines to try the new navigation concept inspired by the beginning of windsurfing in the 80s but with current materials and technologies.

The success of participation once again highlights the unstoppable international growth of the class, with an ambitious schedule of races for 2023 on all continents. Spain will once again conclude the European season of 2024 with a regatta in Valencia, organized again by Valencia Sea.

Valencia Sea, the city's private marina and the venue for this windsurfing festival, is located just a few meters from the beach and only 10 minutes from the city center. It is a marina managed by one of the most prominent companies in the sector, responsible for managing reference marinas in the Spanish Mediterranean such as Puerto Portals in Mallorca, Marina Vela in Barcelona, or Marina Formentera. Currently, it has full occupancy of its berths and a waiting list of over 100 vessels.

Among its services, the marina also offers covered parking, electricity up to 600 amps, WiFi, cable internet, waste collection, marina services seven days a week, laundry, artificial beach, bars, and shops, making it a trendy space available to the city of Valencia.
