The RS600 fleet are hugely excited to have been invited to join the 2024 Riva Cup, to be held at Fraglia del Riva, 29th May - 31st June 2024.

The invitation has created a real buzz in the fleet and livened up the second-hand boat market, with a flurry of original RS600 sailors from the 90's looking to get back into the fleet or upgrade to take part in this iconic event, 30 years after the RS600 was launched.

We are delighted to announce that Sailboat Deliveries will be the title sponsor for the event, adding value by offering subsidised boat transport, prizes and social events at the famous Oca Bar.

Ian Jubb, an RS600 sailor himself said "the RS600 is very close to my heart, I have sailed it since from day 1 and still love it today. The fun, the camaraderie of the fleet and the sheer challenge of the boat are unique! Combine that with the draw of Garda - no wonder the fleet are excited! The 600s are no strangers to Garda, we've been several times before; sailors have pulled out all the stops to get there, including one who combined it with his honeymoon!"

So far 11 sailors have indicated their intention to enter on the RS600 event website, with at least three others keen too. Most will be taking advantage of Sailboat Deliveries transport offer, meaning that they can make their own way to Garda, whether car-sharing or flying.

The regatta starts for the RS600s on Weds 29th May with a special informal RS600 pre-race, which will be organised by our VIP guest - details to follow! From Thurs 30th May - Sat 1st June the fleet will race in the Riva Cup, with an RS600 fleet start.

Race documents are expected from the club in early 2024, in the meantime the RS Class Association is asking those who intend to take part to sign up on the website.
