Spain and France lead the provisional top ten. José Valverde from Almeria is fourth, followed by Guillermo Beltri (5), Juan Marcos Egea (6) and Carlos Beltri (7).

The European Radio Control IOM, which has been held since last October 9th at the Real Club Nautico de Torrevieja, closes its first chapter in this new format of competition for the class, with three qualifying rounds and two finals, today the first, and with the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Copper groups.

The Torrevieja club has managed to bring together the best international fleet, with a European that could well have the title of World Championship. Much level, a lot in Torrevieja city, equality and alternation in the top positions is constant in each of the tests at its closure. The wind has also wanted to be protagonists with these ups and downs, although the race committee has been able to close a total of 15 races in the qualifying round of three days.

Today's race repeated the same script, with a start in an area with a northerly breeze to go to the east. The gold and silver fleet was able to complete six races, while the bronze and copper seven.

The Croatian Zvonko Jelacic (JK Zenta) has taken the lead with 57 points with three discards (2 in the qualifying round and 1 in the final). In today's round Jelacic was very regular, key to place himself in first place, although in the third round he scored an 11, a result he took off.

France dominates the podium, silver and provisional bronze thanks to sailors Alexis Carré (CV Cazaux-Lac) who has 72 points, while Olliver Cohen (SN Sablais) is third just 3 points behind his compatriot.

Spain, meanwhile, dominates the provisional top ten with four sailors, France has three, Croatia two and Italy one. These 10 points, with the exception of Jelacic, the difference between them is minimal. The national table maintains its favorites up, in this case the Almeria José Valverde (CM Almeria) is fourth with 83 points, followed by Guillermo Beltri (RCN Torrevieja), which has 83 in his locker; Juan Marcos Egea (CN Dos Mares) is sixth with 89. It stands out because it has been the only Spanish, for the moment, to obtain a partial triumph in this final round. The other representative of the Region of Murcia: Carlos Beltri (CN Villa de San Pedro) is one point behind Egea, seventh.

Ante Kovacevic (JK Zenta) is eighth with 91 points, 1 more than Beltri, while the Italian Elio Cavallo (CN Cesenatico), with two partial victories today (F2-F3) adds 93. Frenchman Xavier Liger (SN Sablais) closes the top ten with 97 points.

Such tight numbers make clear the equality and the level of the fleet in Torrevieja, besides there is nothing decided so the European scepter will be resolved in the last day of tomorrow Friday, October 13th. Only Jelacic has a slight advantage over the second, just 15 points.
