The Lagoon Escapade Whitsundays 2023, which took place on 29-30 August, ended with resounding success at the exquisite Cape Gloucester Resort. Thanks to the impeccable organization by TMG Yachts, the event boasted an impressive turnout of 12 Lagoon boats and over 30 enthusiastic participants.

During the first day, attendees enjoyed a delightful feast and engaging trivia session. On the second day, the Lagoon catamarans gracefully sailed around Middle Island, gliding through the mesmerizing turquoise waters, accompanied by playful dolphins and majestic whales. Back onshore, the crew took active part in the pirate-themed beach games. Prizes were also presented during the event to recognize exceptional accomplishments, further adding to the excitement and camaraderie of the event.

The picturesque setting of the Whitsundays served as the perfect backdrop, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere and leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

Press conference
During the show, Lagoon held a press conference where we shared some major milestones, including the introduction of the new furling boom, the premium program, the brand new Lagoon 60, the progress on sustainability, as well as the announcement of the World Escapade event to the global journalists.

Major milestones
In 2023, Lagoon is celebrating two remarkable milestones. Firstly, we launched the 1000th Lagoon 42 earlier this year, showcasing the popularity and success of this model. Secondly, we achieved the production of the 500th Lagoon 46 in August, marking another significant achievement for the brand.

New furling boom
Lagoon presents a furling boom option for catamarans from 46 to 51 feet. This innovative system offers several advantages, including the non-enclosed housing for the furling mandrel. This allows a better visibility and control during hoisting, reefing and furling maneuvers. Additionally, the reduction in overall mass minimizes the risk of damage during gybing.
